exploring reinvention
We live in very challenging times. Today’s stark reality is the sharp recognition that what worked in the past will not necessarily work for us now in the uncertain futures we currently face. This is a new paradigm. Despite this global adversity, we need to ramp up our courage, willpower and energy reserves to stay resilient and achieve our goals. Economies and businesses are deeply challenged. Redundancies are commonplace. Businesses are folding. Resilience, reimagining and reinvention are now the name of the game.
With this in mind, as part of a piece of research into the power of reinvention, I am interested to schedule a series of micro-dialogues with a highly diverse range of people around the world. How are they staying resilient, what is driving them to reinvent and do they feel stuck in seemingly inescapable doldrums? How are they cultivating mental toughness, how are they digging deep into their creative resources, how are they reimagining their futures?

These short micro-dialogues would be around 20 minutes long and would be conducted by Zoom, Skype, WhatsApp or the most convenient communications platform for the interviewee. The aim would be to explore the questions mentioned above and to draw insights and ideas from these dialogues with people around the world to shape into a larger piece of research.
A further aim would be to explore mindset and mental toughness strategies to hold strong in these seismic times. Equally, where appropriate, it would be good to explore the challenges of the 50+ generation, the challenges that women face in work and life, how to shape an entrepreneurial spirit and how to use creative insight to reinvent expertise, personal brand and networks.
